Chris Kelly

Chris caught the campaign bug early when he started his career working on a congressional race in his hometown of Green Bay, Wisc. His campaign and political work has taken him around the country and he is now happy to call Minneapolis home.

Chris’ diverse experience — ranging from managing campaigns to working on Capitol Hill and lobbying at the state and federal level — give Chris a big-picture approach to problem solving and advising clients. He enjoys helping organizations navigate the legislative and campaign cycle and translate the nuance of policy to a manner that tells the stories of people's lives.

In 2008 and 2012, Chris directed field and get-out-the-vote operations for President Barack Obama in Michigan and Pennsylvania. He also served as communications director and deputy campaign manager on the Jamie Wall for U.S. Congress campaign, a nationally targeted race.

When not on the campaign trail, Chris served as senior director of tax and budget policy at First Focus in Washington and legislative assistant to U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minnesota, where he served as an advisor on the U.S. House of Representatives’ appropriations and budget committees. He most recently served as political director for Everytown for Gun Safety.

Chris graduated with honors from Boston College where he studied philosophy and history. An outdoor enthusiast and adventurer, Chris enjoys running, biking, sailing and scuba diving.

He has lived, studied and traveled in more than 30 countries.
