Paul Thelen is an integrated marketing leader, content strategist, and writer with deep experience helping organizations turn complex ideas into clear, compelling campaigns. He brings a rare combination of creative storytelling, digital strategy, sales enablement, SEO, advertising, and brand development to his work, with experience spanning public affairs, advocacy, environmental issues, SaaS, healthcare, DevOps, eCommerce, and professional services.
As a Senior Digital Campaign Supervisor at Tunheim, Paul develops and executes digital strategies for a diverse range of clients, including public affairs, commercial, nonprofit, and environmental organizations. His work includes content marketing, search engine optimization, email marketing, social media, digital advertising, analytics, TV, radio, and Spotify campaigns. He also helps organizations use emerging AI tools, including custom GPTs, to improve efficiency and strengthen their communications.
Before joining Tunheim, Paul held senior content and marketing roles at Instruqt, andros, Perforce Software, Brandography, Parqa, Snap Agency, TopRank Marketing, and Genoo. Across those roles, he led content strategy, website rebrands, SEO programs, sales enablement initiatives, marketing automation, paid advertising strategy, webinars, video scripts, white papers, landing pages, email campaigns, and client-facing marketing plans.
Paul began his career as a writer, covering sports for Bleacher Report and Sportradar, where his work included NFL coverage and NCAA previews and recaps. That foundation in journalism and creative writing continues to shape his approach today: strategic, audience-focused, and built around stories people actually want to read.
Paul holds a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Science in History from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
