Ben Hill

Ben Hill is Senior Counsel at Tunheim, where he advises clients on strategic communications, public affairs, campaign strategy, and leadership positioning. A seasoned political strategist and communications professional, Ben brings nearly two decades of experience helping candidates, elected officials, organizations, and public leaders navigate high-stakes moments with clarity, discipline, and purpose.

Before joining Tunheim, Ben served for more than eight years on U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar’s leadership team, including six years as State Director. In that role, he directed the operations of the Senator’s Minnesota offices, managed staff across the state, served as a top Minnesota advisor, and maintained relationships with political, community, and media leaders throughout Minnesota. He also oversaw work spanning scheduling, outreach, constituent services, communications, and strategic projects.

Earlier in his tenure with Senator Klobuchar, Ben served as Senior Communications Advisor, developing statewide media strategies to highlight legislative accomplishments and priorities. He was the primary point of contact for news outlets and reporters across Minnesota media markets, led planning and execution for Minnesota media events, and drafted speeches, press releases, and opinion pieces on behalf of the Senator.

In addition to his work at Tunheim, Ben is President of Hill Consulting LLC and founder of Kickstart Strategies, where he helps purpose-driven Democratic candidates build focused, strategic campaigns. Across his career, Ben has developed a reputation for shaping compelling narratives, managing complexity, and helping leaders connect authentically with the people and communities they serve.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Augsburg College.
