Bess Ellenson

Bess is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who spent more than 16 years working in local television news in Minnesota and New Mexico. She has a passion for helping people and organizations tell their stories in ways that connect with their communities. Bess has extensive experience in thoughtfully creating content to engage and influence audiences.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Bess worked in local TV news in Duluth for about a year before her career took her to New Mexico. She spent seven years in Albuquerque at KOB-TV, where she produced local newscasts, documentaries and oversaw coverage of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. In 2012, Bess decided to move back home to Minnesota where she was the executive producer of the WCCO morning show and helped create WCCO’s Mid-Morning. Most recently she produced the 6 p.m. news at KARE 11.
