Robert Meek
Quality research and writing are labor intensive tasks. That’s probably why Bob is always in such demand. With his ability to pull the pertinent details from reams of research and then craft it into compelling articles and speeches, Bob has become a trusted communications partner to many executives, corporations and political entities.
For more than a decade, Bob has provided communications support to Vance Opperman, president and chief executive officer of Key Investment, Inc. Previously, Bob served as a consultant to West Publishing, which he assisted in its sale to and successful integration with The Thomson Corporation. He also helped create the award-winning Citizens Jury voter education process during his work with the nonpartisan Jefferson Center, for which he served as a consultant, and then as president and CEO.
Among Bob’s heroes and heroines are the many people he has had the privilege to write for, including Steve Endean, founder of the Human Rights Campaign; Joan Anderson Growe, Minnesota’s first female nominee for the U.S. Senate in the modern era; and then-U.S. Sen. Hubert H. Humphrey.
Bob attended the University of Minnesota and American University in Washington, D.C. When he’s not crafting the perfect sentence, Bob enjoys reading history, listening to music, gardening and hiking.
