For more than eight years working in television production, you could find Josie Hemmingsen anywhere from the top of Arizona’s Chase Field, making (and tasting) pizza ice cream in Queens, booking celebrity guests like Sandra Lee and Bethenny Frankel, and inside of a doghouse hanging onto the dog so he wouldn’t run out and ruin the last shot – just to name a few. She came to Tunheim in 2011, bringing her considerable “wrangling” experience to the world of public relations, working with a variety of B2B clients.
Prior to joining Tunheim, Josie worked for the Food Network programs Outrageous Food (field producer) and Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (researcher). She was also a producer for Twin Cities Live on KSTP in St. Paul, as well as an associate producer for Emmy-award winning DragonflyTV (PBS), the Academy Award-shortlisted documentary On Native Soil, and on projects for ABC, the Style Network, and Lifetime Television.
Josie received her B.A. in Visual and Media Arts fromEmersonCollegeinBoston. AMinnesotanative, she returned home six years ago after a stint spent fighting traffic inLos Angeles. In her spare time, she’s an avid reader, amateur baker, and dedicated consumer of reality television.
Fun Fact
Josie lived in a 14th century medieval castle in the Netherlands, complete with moats.
