If the subject is complex or the opinion is difficult to articulate, Darin has a unique ability to make it easy to understand and more importantly, compelling. Of course, crafting a great story is only part of the process. Darin is also adept targeting the right audiences, finding new champions or advocates and implementing innovative strategies to achieve success for his clients.
Prior to joining Tunheim, Darin toiled in the political trenches. He performed communications, managerial and strategic planning roles for several elected officials and government agencies, including Congressman Bill Luther, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office and the Minnesota Senate. He also served as a communications specialist for the Minnesota Environmental Partnership.
Growing up in rural Minnesota, Darin earned his Eagle Scout and worked three paper routes. He became interested in public service and politics in his ninth-grade civic class after watching Bill Clinton’s 1991 presidential announcement. Darin is a graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul with degrees in political science and economics.

Darin has a deep and abiding fondness for the Pine Island Cheese Fest.
